The beginning of tomorrow

Tomorrow marks the start of the shortest month of the year, and although this year there are 28 days in February, time still feels compressed. The RPM music challenge that I participated in 2 years ago and that happens each February, is happening again this year for me, with some help this time! No band name as of yet, but then again, what's in a name?
Another February challenge I've built up of my own design is as follows:
I will only listen bands that start with a certain letter on a certain day. For example, on February 1 I will only listen to bands beginning with the letter A, the 4th will consist of D bands only, and so on. Why? Why not!? It sounded interesting when I came up with it at the time and it still sounds interesting, so I'll do it.
It is very strange however, to think about not listening to whatever I want whenever I want with little to no restriction, as I've grown used to doing. No London Calling for three days? Doable. No Rocket to Russia for 18 days? Trickier. The only question remaining is if Tom Waits gets a T day or a W day...
Hopefully I will learn about some new artists and rediscover some lost gems.
Until tomorrow...

First Post

First post... I'll start with a recap of the past little while.

New Years holiday in Seattle with Lauren!

Music was played

The food was almost as good as the company

Walks and views were had

The final night of Haunakka with Andrew and Sarah before that!

Finally went to the Rocky Bluffs! Under a full moon (of course)

A week or two ago I walked past a mirror and did a double take. This is what I look like now...

Pretty funny

The weather report called for snow over the 3 day MLK weekend... Lauren away in New York... sounded like as good a time as any to go on a solo camping adventure.

My humble campsite

I had the entire park all to myself

Two deer came through my campsite during the night

A very little bit of snow

Trouble around every corner and under every footstep!

Relaxin'

Pretty alright view

That's the second camping adventure in as many weeks. The near by Oxbow Park for my solo and all the way to the coast to Cape Lookout with Lauren. Moon lit midnight walks on the beach with Lauren walking through God's hair, what could be better?

The Cape Lookout trail

Another pretty view!

It wouldn't be a proper adventure without a little car trouble!

And of course an abundance of fun!

Can't forget about square dancing at the Old Time Music Gathering! No pictures of the dancing but a good time was had, obviously. This young child was having an especially good and hyper time, dining on sugar cubes and going back for seconds and thirds.

I came upon this sight walking home after hearing former governor Barbra Roberts read from her book at Powell's

This isn't even everything!

Just horsin' around...

What a full and rewarding life I have...
